Owner's guide

From box to glowing
in about ten minutes.

No tools, no ladder, no instruction-manual dread. Here's everything you need to know — and if you'd rather have a human walk you through it, call 801.791.5369 and we'll do it together.

1

Unbox everything

Lay the box flat and take out the frame pieces, the feet, the power cord, and your rolled printed image. Unroll the print and let it relax while you build the frame — any soft creases from shipping will fall out on their own once it's up and glowing.

Keep the box. It's the perfect place to store the frame between celebrations.

2

Connect the frame

Work on a clean, soft surface like carpet or a rug. The frame pieces join together at the corners — line each corner up and press the pieces firmly together until the frame is one solid rectangle. No tools needed.

Two people make this step twice as fast, but one person can absolutely do it.

3

Attach the feet and stand it up

Slide the feet onto the bottom edge of the frame, then stand it upright. Give it a gentle wiggle — it should feel steady and solid. Pick its spot before you add the image; the frame is easiest to move while it's still empty.

Choose a spot near a wall outlet, out of direct traffic paths.

4

Tuck in your image

Your print has a thin silicone strip sewn around its edge — that strip tucks into the slim groove that runs around the front of the frame. Start with the four corners, then tuck the middle of each side, then work your way around pressing the strip in with your thumbs. The image will pull tight and smooth as you go — like making a bed, but prettier.

If the image looks a little loose anywhere, pop out that section and re-tuck it. It should sit drum-tight.

5

Plug it in

Plug the cord into any standard wall outlet — it draws about as much power as a couple of table lamps. That's it. Step back and let it glow.

Turn off the room lights the first time. Trust us.

Changing the image

New photo, same frame.

  1. 1

    Unplug the frame.

  2. 2

Starting at a corner, gently pull the silicone edge out of the groove and work your way around until the print is free.

  3. 3

Roll the old print loosely — never fold it — and slide it back into a box or tube for safekeeping.

  4. 4

Tuck in the new image: corners first, then the middles, then all the way around.

  5. 5

Plug it back in and enjoy the new view.

If something's not right

The lights won't turn on+

First, try a different outlet — lamp-switch-controlled outlets are the usual culprit. Then check that the power cord is seated firmly into the frame. Still dark? Call 801.791.5369 (Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm Mountain) and we'll get you glowing.

Part of the image looks dimmer than the rest+

Make sure nothing is resting against the back of the frame and that it's not pressed flat against a wall — the light needs a little breathing room. If a section still looks uneven, get in touch; that's what the warranty is for.

The image has wrinkles or creases+

Small ripples usually disappear within a few hours of being tucked in tight — the warmth of the lights helps the fabric relax. For a stubborn crease, a garment steamer on low, held a few inches away, smooths it in seconds. No irons, please.

The image looks loose or saggy+

Pop the silicone edge out of the groove along the saggy side and re-tuck it, pulling the fabric gently taut as you go. Corners first, then middles, then everything between.

How do I clean it?+

Dust the frame with a dry cloth. For the fabric image, a light touch with a lint roller works wonders. Keep liquids away — it's a photograph, not a tablecloth.

Anything else at all — call801.791.5369(Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm Mountain) or emailhello@lit-image.com. Every frame carries a one-year warranty, and we'd rather hear from you twice too often than have you stuck.
